To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Mobile Plant Technology
• Strong experience working on agricultural machinery and equipment
• Proven technical diagnostic and fault-finding capability
• Previous experience mentoring or leading technicians and apprentices
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with productive workshop time
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service
• Current Driver Licence
• Forklift Licence

Experience working with John Deere or Agricultural equipment will be highly regarded.

Working closely with the Service Manager, you will support the day-to-day coordination of the service workshop while remaining actively involved in diagnostics, repairs and technical support across a broad range of machinery and equipment.

You will play a key role in supporting workshop productivity, apprentice development, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, while helping build a strong and positive workshop culture.

This role balances technical productivity with leadership, coaching and operational support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and support daily workshop operations
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Service Technicians and Apprentices
• Support workshop productivity, efficiency and labour performance targets
• Perform diagnostics, repairs and servicing on agricultural machinery and equipment
• Assist with workflow coordination and job allocation
• Promote a strong safety culture and high workshop standards
• Support apprentice development and on-the-job training
• Drive continuous improvement and reduction of rework
• Maintain strong communication with customers, Parts and Service teams
• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability and teamwork
