Service Manager

What we are looking for:
- Trade Qualified Service Technician, with experience specific to agricultural machinery
- Minimum of 5 years' experience operating as a fully qualified Service Technician on agricultural machinery
- Demonstrate knowledge of Ag and heavy machinery equipment
- Experience working on John Deere machinery including tractors and harvesters
- Australian work rights and valid driver licence is required
Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to:
- Provide hands-on leadership, technical support, and mentoring to Service Technicians and Apprentices, both in the workshop and field.
- Coordinate and optimise workflow, scheduling, repairs, servicing, invoicing, and WIP management to achieve productivity, quality, and customer service targets.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors, Warranty Clerks, OEMs, technical specialists, and HR to ensure efficient operations, customer satisfaction, workforce development, and recruitment.
- Ensure work is completed to OEM standards, within chargeable timeframes, and that completed repairs are inspected for quality assurance.
- Manage customer complaints and machine repair resolutions, balancing customer, OEM, and business outcomes.
- Promote the effective use of technology, continuous improvement initiatives, and process efficiencies to enhance workshop performance.
- Set clear team goals, conduct performance and probation reviews, and support training and professional development.
- Monitor capital equipment requirements, workshop compliance, and adherence to local council, safety, and workplace standards.
