Sales Representative

LOCATION:
Townsville - Industrial, Queensland

The Sales Representative role is a permanent full-time position based in Townsville. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating sales and growing the client base within the designated market area for our industrial new and used machinery, representing Honeycombes and brands such as JCB, Huyndai Construction Equipment, Ammann, ITR and others to the highest standard. This role is also responsible for professional end to end customer interaction throughout all phases of the sales processes, always driving to ensure customer satisfaction and continued engagement with Honeycombes. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will contribute to team success and expand your skills, enjoying a variety of work, where no 2 days are the same!

What we are looking for:
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Motor Vehicle - Sales Licence
  • 2+ years of direct sales experience
  • Comprehensive truck product knowledge (desireable)
  • High level of ability to influence others through effective communication and sales techniques.
  • Evidence of customer service skills and experience.
  • Ability to negotiate and drive outcomes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn, understand and demonstrate industrial machinery.
  • Exceptional communication skills verbal and written.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the sale of JCB, Huyndai Construction Equipment, Ammann, ITR and others as per Honeycombes dealership agreement.
  • Drive sales of products in line with dealership agreements.
  • Build and maintain an accurate customer database and strong product knowledge, including used machinery valuation.
  • Focus on solution selling by identifying customer needs and providing tailored product recommendations.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and quotes to secure sales; ensure accurate completion of all sales and finance paperwork.
  • Organize delivery and professional handover of machinery, ensuring all documentation is complete.
  • Conduct post-delivery follow-ups to maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Manage invoicing and record-keeping in compliance with licensing and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to resolve customer concerns and provide requested reports and financial data.
  • Complete daily tasks including cold calling, scheduled visits, and documentation.
  • Uphold Honeycombes’ Mission, Vision, Values, and comply with all policies, safety, and workplace standards.
